Loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties!
I recently found this Acai and Goji berry powder at Whole Foods market. I decided to add some red cherries to make a smoothie and it turned out to be delicious and refreshing!
1 cup almond milk
2 teaspoons Acai and Goji powder (or fresh berries)
20 cherries with pits removed (or frozen cherries)
I read that acai is a bluish-purple berry found on palm trees in the rainforests of South America. Acai berries have three times the antioxidant properties of blueberries and contain healthy fats such as omega-3 and omega-6. Acai berries are nutrient dense, anti-inflammatory, help lower cholesterol, boost brain function, and may have anti-cancer properties.
